The Law-Tech Consultant's main office is located in the state of Maryland.  As a result we have access to specialized databases from within the state.  The product descriptions below pertain largely to these Maryland databases however the same information can also be obtained in other states.  To best suit the needs of our clients we have assembled our information into four specialized packages.  They provide the most pertinent information necessary as it applies to employment positions from entry level to supervisor and executive managers.  Packaged information is discounted from the regular individually purchased items. 

Product Descriptions  

Credit Header Reports- Information is obtained from a compilation of the three (3) major consumer-reporting agencies.  These include address history, aliases/fictitious names, current neighbors, corporate affiliations, real property information, bankruptcies, liens, judgments and much more. 

Identity Verification by SSN- Oftentimes a common mistake made by employers is not verifying that an applicant is really who they claim to be. This data allows us to determine if an applicant's information is true and correct.  In addition, this report compiles a list of past addresses that are used as the focal for beginning a criminal records search. This search is the most effective way to verify an applicant’s criminal history and the best way to ensure legal protection.  This search accesses over 17 Billion records!  Provides a solid overview of the subject with SSN information, name and DOB with current address information from two consumer reporting agencies plus historical address information, driver licenses, phone numbers, and more. 

Maryland District Court Record Repository

Civil Records- Identifies any lawsuits that were filed in a courthouse against an individual within the previous 7 years from the date of request.  

Criminal Records (July 1, 1981 – present) - This statewide search enables us to determine if the applicant has ever been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor crime.  On site searches are available to district and higher courthouses to obtain a more detailed understanding of cases and to make copies of pertinent information if necessary.  Also available nationwide (43 states)

Sex Offender Inquiry- Many states provide centralized services utilized for determining whether a candidate has been convicted of a sexually related crime.  

Real Property Ownership & Transfers- This report provides many important details about the real estate holdings of an individual.  The search covers all the counties nationwide (over 730) for the same price as searching one county.  Information obtained includes the owner, mailing/property address, phone number, parcel number, county, sale information, assessor information, and property characteristics. 

Maryland Vehicle Records

Driving history (for previous 3 years) - An important search for applicants who operate their vehicle for business purposes and/or drive a company vehicle. Accessing the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) this search reveals all personal identifiers, change of addresses, suspensions, points assessed, insurance carriers, liens, offenses and citations. 

Traffic violations- this search also accesses the MD court record repository revealing any citations the consumer may have received including personal identifiers. 

Vehicle registrations- provided by the MVA returning the vehicles currently registered to the consumer along with personal identifiers, insurance carriers, make/model, vehicle registration (regardless of the number of vehicles found the entire list is provided to client for same low price).

Education Verification- It is common practice that when hiring an individual, companies normally base salary packages and positions on the individual's education. Failure to verify important information may result in having unqualified people hold positions they don't deserve and possibly affect the level at which your company is able to compete. With this search we will validate schools attended, diplomas, degrees, certificates and dates of attendance. Transcript information may also be available. (Highest degree only -Information availability varies)  

Professional License search- Provides a verification of professional licensing and registration status of the applicant.  We verify all certifications either discovered by us and those provided by the candidate. This search also may determine if there are any sanctions, violations, or suspensions against that license.       

Employment History- Identify inconsistencies of statements provided by the applicant and prior employers' (dates of tenure, reason for leaving, job title, and salary). May provide information of the candidate's personality, violent or harmful conduct, and other problem areas. This service is essential to building a defense against Negligent Hiring.  (Up to past 3 employers)
